What is Expert Support?
Expert Support is the provision by the Organizational Learning Center of an experienced expert or experts to help the organization undertake planned work.
This support is normally provided when an organization lacks internal resources to achieve a specific objective.

Examples of Expert Support
-
Change Management, including change necessitated by relocations, reorganization and mergers, and support of the organization’s proactive effort to plan and implement change.
- Project Management, including project planning, work integration, control, monitoring, and close-out.
- Risk Reduction, including the reduction of risks from equipment failure and human error.
- Process Management and Work Process Improvement, including clarifying and/or documenting existing business processes, improving processes and the integration between processes, reengineering processes, and improving the way processes are managed.
- Strategic Planning, including implementing a Key Objectives (Hoshin) strategic management approach that helps deploy and gain support for the organization’s strategic goals.
- Assessments, including help in designing and undertaking a specific organizational assessment.

Steps in Contracting for Expert Support
- OLC and the potential customer meet or arrange a telephone conference call with organization’s leaders, to clarify the requirements of the organization and provide a basis for an OLC expert support proposal.
- OLC provides a proposal, which is used as a basis for establishing a contract.
- OLC contracts for providing expert support can be terminated by the customer at any time without the need for any justification.
