Process Improvement 101...

  • Organizational performance is dependent upon the performance of the organization’s work processes.
  • A work process is a sequence of activities that provide a product or service. Just as products can be broken down into a work breakdown structure, so can processes be broken down into subprocesses (view example).
  • Process performance depends both on the performance of the individual activities within the process and the efficiency and effectiveness of the integration between activities and subprocesses.
